Contemporary elegance, luxury, and a fresh youthful feeling: these
are the unforgettable sensations you will feel on boarding Arkley,
the new 197′ yacht launched last June by Lurssen Yacht. Espen
Oeino, the Exterior Designer, has successfully created a voluminous
yacht that not only satisfies all the Owner’s requirements
but also maintains traditionally elegant lines together with innovative aspects. The white colour chosen for the exterior immediately conveys a sense of modernity and freshness skilfully combined with elegant styling. Mark Berryman, the Interior Designer, has combined a very luxurious ambience with a particular contemporary style that allows the Owner and his guests to enjoy a unique cruising experience. Yacht Management Company Imperial Yachts supervised construction and interior selection and fit out of the Owner’s behalf.
Details that make the difference
Guests feel immediately welcome in this luxurious ambience crammed with fascinating and creative details. The various materials and details are instantly noticeable and can be easily recognized throughout the yacht. The “Arkley Waves” represent an example of this sensitive creative approach and are an interesting decorative theme especially designed for the yacht. This feature is present in different parts of the yacht, in public and private rooms. For example, in the upper deck saloon, you will recognize this beautiful decorative element in the ceiling complemented by the same pattern in the carpet below. The designer has developed the overall project using a blend of textures and materials: precious woods, marbles, leathers, soft furnishings, mosaics. The combination of traditional and contemporary works lends the ambience a very special atmosphere.
Visitors will appreciate the study walls, made of bamboo and leather panels, together with doors in prized Zebrano wood. The floor of this passageway is in bamboo and makes for a very sensuous walk. Last but not least, the lighting was specially designed to create a cosy, comfortable atmosphere.
Discovering a new way of cruising
All the areas of the yacht have been conceived to provide the last word in comfort together with elegant details. The main and upper deck salons are awash with natural light; this makes for both a formal or a more casual lifestyle in a pleasantly natural and contemporary atmosphere. The main salon has a large table in Bog Oak with a centrepiece in silver leaf. The shape of the centrepiece is the same as 163 the design on the carpet and the ceiling, where gold leaf was used.
