Commissioned from CRN by a European Owner, the fully custom mega yacht Darlings Danama bears the Italian shipyard’s hull number 130. This majestic leisure vessel, 60 metres in length, was built by CRN and embodies the special characteristics that have long distinguished the exclusive vessels created by the prestigious Ferretti Group brand.
These stylistic and technical innovations have introduced a new way of experiencing the relationship with the sea and the environment, successfully establishing the presence of elements such as the beach club and the private balcony in the luxury nautical sector.
With its imposing yet elegant, enduring shapes, which will maintain the vessel’s aesthetic and economic value for a long time to come, Darlings Danama is the fruit of a collaboration between CRN Engineering, which produced the naval architecture, and Zuccon International Project, which devised both the exterior design and the interior layout.
Meanwhile, Darlings Danama’s interior design was created by the Owner’s professionals of choice, Cristina and Alexandre Negoescu, working with the specialists of CRN’s Centro Stile. Curved and circular lines predominate in the interiors, defining numerous open spaces which expand fluidly and extend freely into every area, enhancing the sensation of space created by the fittings.
A sophisticated, minimal style has been merged with a refined art deco inspiration to form a contemporary interpretation of the concept of “habitat”, developed to achieve a new world of on-board comfort. Elegantly luxurious yet always soberly balanced, the fittings primarily feature a monochrome colour scheme dominated by the presence of stained white oak, which provides the background to the beautiful setting created exclusively for Darlings Danama.
The furniture personally selected by the Owner also plays a part in this setting, such as the many works by artist Hervé Van der Straeten. In addition, all the lobbies feature decorative glass panels handmade by French artisans Atelier Mériguet-Carrère, which also produced the bas-relief decorative panels in the main salon and the dining room.
Talking of lobbies, the sun deck lobby is very unusual: it features a small reading room, with a panoramic view forward, from which the cinema room located aft is accessed. The sun deck has two external areas. Forward, the swimming pool is located on a circular raised platform surrounded by cushions in white and beige.
To aft, there are three successive sections, rigorously dominated by the colour white: the American bar section has tall stools by Fendi Club House, the lounge relaxation section has a protective awning under which there are sofas and armchairs with multi-faceted shapes, and the sunbathing area has sun beds by Vondom. The upper deck also has two external areas. Forward, there are two sections with sun pads. To aft, the wheelhouse includes two magnificent round sofas, with round tables in natural teak.
The monumental oval table is also in natural teak, surrounded by chairs with multi-faceted shapes, intended for alfresco dining and positioned in the centre of the deck with a corner bar in Corian and steel nearby. Curvilinear shapes predominate in the panoramic salon, flowing through the well-lit space to outline custom made sofas in white leather, alongside Armani Casa armchairs and Fendi Club House coffee tables. On the back wall, there is a bar featuring wave panels clad in gold leaf and Portoro marble. On the upper deck, the VIP stateroom is located to portside, offering an open-space type arrangement achieved thanks to a wardrobe clad in straw marquetry from Ateliers Lison De Caunes, partially separating the cabin space from the bathroom space.
