Lady Lau

by Cantieri Navali Codecasa with Studio Anna Maria and Franco Della Role

With its majestically imposing external appearance and glossy aesthetics, elegantly decorated in immaculate white and with the unmistakable image of elegance that has always marked the magnificent creations of this Italian shipyard, this vessel boasts sophisticated technology combined with refined craftsmanship in its warm, welcoming interiors.
The uncertain world economic situation has hardly affected the order books of the most prestigious international shipyards. These naturally include the historic Cantieri Navali Codecasa, the highly regarded Italian shipbuilder famous for the utter exclusivity of its wonderful creations, which does not seem to have been so much as touched by the harsh wind of the crisis.
This year, several unique masterpieces are in progress, with their launch and delivery planned for next summer: these include a 51-metre Codecasa and the first Vintage series 42-metre Codecasa. Meanwhile, during the past year, Cantieri Navali Codecasa have successfully put a 45-metre Codecasa sports yacht and two stunning 65-metre Codecasa megayachts into the water.
Although they are the same length and have the same naval architecture and engineering, including the hull and engines, these two new sister ships are not identical twins: rather than being the double result of a single design, they are the result of full individual customisation and therefore have very different exterior lines and totally different interior spaces.
One of the two new 65-metre Codecasa yachts, Family Day, has four decks in addition to the tank deck, and it is distinguished externally by innovative modern lines with aesthetic characteristics presented for the first time in a Codecasa creation. The yacht has been specially designed to fulfil all the wishes of its Owner, who was previously the proud possessor of a Codecasa 41-metre sports yacht. Inside, preference has been given to interior spaces in a clean, contemporary style with luxurious rosewood decoration, tapestries, and leather and marble finishes.
As for interior design, the Owner explicitly requested a single style with uniform tones used in all the spaces, to create a total harmony emblematic of the Owner’s personal character and individual expressiveness.
The second of the two new 65-metre Codecasa yachts, Lady Lau, has five decks in addition to the tank deck, and its exterior lines are classic and modern, with the aesthetic characteristics traditionally present in Codecasa’s products.
The yacht is expressly designed to meet the precise requirements of its Owner, who was also previously the proud possessor of a 50-metre Codecasa yacht. Inside, the yacht has exclusive interiors in a beautiful classic style, decorated with luxurious mahogany, tapestries and marble finishes. The Owner specifically wanted a different style and different colour coordinates in each of the guest cabins, to make each of them stand out in a completely original, unique way.
In issue 10 of Yacht Première, exactly two years ago, the plans for the 65-metre Codecasa F 71 (Family Day) – then under construction – were previewed in detail.
In the current issue 18 of Yacht Première, a full portrait of the 65-metre Codecasa
C 118 (Lady Lau) is featured. [...]
