Midway through last year, in issue 20, Yacht Première previewed the design for the Tecnomar Nadara 45, more specifically the third hull, which was then under construction. In April this year, Ouranos, as the new motor yacht was named, was delivered on time to its lucky Owner who had earlier enthusiastically taken part in the final production phases, and was then highly satisfied with the vessel right from the first cruise, which began on the day of delivery.
The new Ouranos made its mark from the very beginning and throughout its maiden voyage by demonstrating its truly extraordinary performance in full, in terms of top speed and cruising speed, stable seakeeping, and a low level of noise for comfort on board.
In part for these excellent reasons, Admiral Tecnomar Yachting Group’s Chairman and Managing Director Giovanni Costantino said that he was very satisfied with the results that the Italian shipyard had achieved with Ouranos.
“This is the third vessel of this size that we have delivered and it joins the other nine delivered over the last three years.” Costantino resolutely confirms that Ouranos is “A vessel perfectly aligned with our production philosophy, which aims for absolute excellence and maximum client satisfaction, confirming the exponential growth in the technical and aesthetic quality of the Admiral Tecnomar Group.”
With these glowing credentials, the new three-deck super motor yacht Ouranos, fully designed and built by Admiral Tecnomar Group, will make its international debut in September when it is officially presented at the Monaco Yacht Show.
The main dimensional and technical data
Like the previous vessels launched in the Tecnomar Nadara 45 line, the new Ouranos is also based on naval architecture and engineering produced in-house by the Admiral Tecnomar Group Style Centre. GRP composite was used as the construction material for both the hull and the superstructure. In terms of size, Ouranos has a length overall of 44.50 metres / 145 feet 11 inches and a beam overall of 8.30 metres / 27 feet 3 inches. Under full load, the hull has a draught of 2.80 metres / 9 feet 3 inches and displacement of 250 tonnes, while the vessel’s gross tonnage is 450 GT.
The yacht has a planing hull with a 100-kW hydraulic bow thruster and a 60-kW hydraulic stern thruster, both from Rodriquez Marine Systems.
It also has an SMS 2000 stabilisation system with two fins, operational both at sea and at anchor, again from Rodriquez Marine Systems. The engine room of Ouranos contains two V16 4000 M90 engines from MTU, each with maximum power of 2,720 bkW / 3,650 BHP produced at 2,100 rpm. The engines are connected to the fixed-pitch 5-blade NiBrAl alloy (nickel, bronze and aluminium) propellers via ZF 7600 V reverse and reduction gearboxes.
In terms of performance, Ouranos has a top speed of 29 knots and can maintain a cruising speed of 25 knots. In the yacht’s hold, the fuel tanks have a total capacity of 25,000 litres / 6,614 US gallons, while the freshwater tanks have a total capacity of 5,000 litres / 1,322 US gallons.
Three Kohler Marine generators have been installed on board Ouranos: two 6-cylinder in-line 100 EFOZD main generators, each supplying 99.0 ekW / 124.0 kVA at 1,500 rpm, and one 4-cylinder in-line 33 EFOZD night generator supplying 33.0 ekW / 41.3 kVA at 1,500 rpm. The vessel also has two waverunners, one main tender 5.05 m / 16’6” in length, and one service tender 4.30 m / 14’2” in length. [...]
