The Ferretti Custom Line 124’ model is currently the largest vessel in production in the Ferretti Custom Line, as well as being the current flagship of the planing line in the range offered by the Italian shipyard. Thanks to the model’s huge success, especially the popularity of its first two hulls, Ferretti Custom Line has already built the third hull, which was launched in May last year and named Thalyssa by its Owner.

The Ferretti Custom Line 124’, like all the other models in the range built to date by the Italian shipyard, is also the result of a close three-way collaboration between Studio Zuccon International Project, AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology (the Research and Naval Design Centre of the Ferretti Group) and the team of architects and designers working at the Centro Stile Ferretti Group.

The creation of the Ferretti Custom Line 124’ represents a point of great renewal in the history of the Ferretti Group brand. The current flagship is an excellent synthesis of the design and construction experience of the Italian shipyard, with an eye to the future while harmoniously uniting elegance with performance and highly innovative solutions for vessels in this size class. “The insight that began the Ferretti Custom Line adventure was to create a range with longer lengths than Ferretti Yachts in order to move towards a wider, more ambitious market,” comments Norberto Ferretti, Founder and Chairman of the Ferretti Group. “This new flagship is a source of extraordinary satisfaction for me because it allows our Group, especially Ferretti Custom Line, to expand its horizons further while remaining faithful to a tradition that has always considered the owner’s wishes to be of central importance, and to offer them the chance of a tailor-made experience of the sea.” As with all the Ferretti Custom Line range, on board the 124’ every non-structural detail, such as the furniture and decoration, can be modified by the Owner. With the help of the architects and designers of the Centro Stile Ferretti Group, the Owner can choose freely from the ranges offered by the best Italian and international companies to create a custom yacht. Thalyssa is a perfect example of this exclusive concept. With its hull painted bronze and sand grey, with waterlines in Roman bronze, the vessel is characterised by racy, light, elegant lines.

These have been trademarks of Ferretti Custom Line maxi yachts for some time, now enhanced by the use of an extensive glazed area that now has an additional aesthetic and functional innovation on both sides of the salon on the main deck: a system consisting of windows with sliding doors and a saxboard with fold-down sections to allow the creation of exclusive private balconies overhanging the water.

The interior furnishings created for Thalyssa have a completely renewed contemporary style, with interiors whose precious materials take centre stage. For the walls, this means American oak with bright ecru lacquers and nubuck leather, while for the floor “Vecchia Toscana” oak parquet has been used on the main deck and the upper deck, while bleached, brushed wood parquet has been used on the lower deck. Precious marbles feature in the bathrooms and tasteful fabrics in the cabins, alongside sophisticated furniture that comes together to form a light, innovative mix, all implemented with the utmost refinement using clean lines to create a simple, very relaxing atmosphere, as per the Owner’s wishes.

A general overview of the motor yacht

Thalyssa’s sportiness is emphasised by its panoramic flybridge, featuring the external helm station and a large area covered with sunbathing mattresses, which clearly shows the yacht’s focus on open-air living. This is expressed to the full on the upper deck where two different functional areas are side by side: one fully uncovered area with a large central sunbathing section beside a Jacuzzi pool surrounded by chairs, which can also be used as chairs for the dining table, and a covered area for alfresco dining, with a custom-made dining table in natural teak with white Corian inserts, surrounded by chairs with fabric cushions.

The glass door provides access to the interior where Thalyssa displays all its class, with a new lounge concept: an area entirely dedicated to relaxation, focusing on the utmost care taken with the spaces. Light and panoramic, this area offers the unique opportunity to experience the sea from a privileged position, using the full beam of the vessel and featuring round windows.

The spacious conversation and entertainment area has a magnificent sofa with an interplay of ivory tones, winding around a central coffee table opposite a unit that incorporates a pop-up television screen. The wheelhouse is located forward of the lounge, with a sofa and chart area, flanked on both sides of the control panel by two control stations positioned to make manoeuvring easier. On the main deck, Thalyssa has two exterior areas. The area far forward is an open-air relaxation area, with a table and sofa enjoying complete privacy even when the vessel is moored in port.

Meanwhile, to aft in the wheelhouse, there is a covered lounge area with a sofa and fabric-clad armchairs, arranged around two telescopically raised coffee tables.

The glass door provides access to the large main salon, where there is an unobstructed view from the living area to the dining area. Dominated by natural light that fills the whole space through the large windows, the salon has an innovative functional solution that increases the visual perception of the space and the surrounding environment, creating a feeling of unity between the exterior and the interior: the side windows have sliding doors that face the gangways on both sides of the salon, corresponding to the side wall sections that can be lowered with an electrohydraulic mechanism to form open balconies.

In this way, from inside the salon you can admire a truly unusual, unique view over the sea. This is especially true in the living area, where the furniture is arranged to leave a wide central passage to access the sliding glass doors. This is achieved thanks to the two large sofas with lacquered wood structures and leather cladding, accompanied by two smoking tables in wood with leather tops. Opposite the chairs there is a unit in lacquered heartwood and nubuck leather, which incorporates the 52” pop-up television screen. [...]
